What bankruptcy can and cannot do for borrowers in distress is the subtitle of a free, three hour, on demand presentation by PLI.
I was part of the panel that surveyed the field for new lawyers and those new to the intersection of real property and bankruptcy.
Live, it was fun since all the audience had an IPad with the materials at their seat and my co panelists were great.
Unfortunately, on the web, you don’t get an Ipad, but you do get a lively discussion involving two grizzled bankruptcy practitioners and an attorney from a HUD certified housing agency. We talk about what options are available and how counsel can help homeowners.
The program is approved for CLE credit in many jurisdictions, and, did I say, it’s free.
Check it out : Bankruptcy, Mortgages, and Foreclosure.

I did the first (actually second) part today and will do the rest later. Very good so far and what a deal!
At one point Sally referred to one or more non profits that help people with loan mods. Are there good ones andif so, their names??

Is this really free and do you get real CLE credit?
Cathy Moran says
It was. I think PLI took it down after 14 months or so.
