I’m deviating from the usual here to cheer on my friend and partner in the adventure that is Bankruptcy Mastery, Jay Fleischman.
Yesterday I presented him for swearing in to the California Bar yesterday, some 17 years after he took the New York Bar.
Personally, I’m not sure I could muster the energy and the focus to sit for the bar again. It had to be tough when all his friends and fellow lawyers watched his effort.
I got a chuckle when, after he passed, it took the California Bar six months to find him of good character, suitable to be a California bankruptcy lawyer.
Must ask Jay what pictures the examiners could have gotten hold of to cause the delay<g>.
Now that he’s sworn in, I’m afraid I’ll have to share his time and attention with building a new practice in South Pasadena, 3000 miles away from the old one. We had a quiz on California exemptions and community property as he drove me to the airport to come home last night.
If you need to refer out a stay violation or FDCPA case, Jay’s now in business.

Congratulations Jay and best of luck!
